The European Youth Parliament Czech Republic (EYP CZ) is a student, politically neutral, non-profit organisation focused on extracurricular education of young people all around Europe. We foster active citizenship, offer a platform for open and free exchange of ideas and mediate intercultural dialogue. Through our activities, we engage students in discussions about themes of European and global measure while developing their soft skills, including argumentation and critical thinking. We combine elements of active foreign language use in international academic discussions with dialogue with decision-makers.

We have successfully functioned in the Czech Republic since 1998 when EYP CZ was established together with 35 other sister organisations forming the European Youth Parliament (EYP), an international programme under the patronage of Schwarzkopf-Stiftung Junges Europa. The EYP network engages over 30,000 young Europeans annually across the continent. In the year 2018, EYP CZ was awarded the European Charlemagne Youth Prize granted by the European Parliament.

On the basis of the growing interest from secondary schools, EYP CZ is organising the 28th National Selection Conference of EYP CZ Brno 2026.

This four-day session will be attended by 160 secondary school and university students from the Czech Republic and the entire Europe. The most ambitious students selected at the Regional Selection Conferences held last year by EYP CZ in Karlovy Vary and Hradec Králové will participate as Delegates. Within this event, they will further develop their skills of critical thinking and debating. The most successful ones will get the opportunity to represent the Czech Republic at International Sessions held by the EYP Network.

The main topic of the 28th National Selection Conference of EYP CZ Brno 2026 is cohesion and collaboration in geopolitically difficult situations, strengthening of interstate relations and primarily the question of European safety summarised by the session motto “Shaping Strength Through Unity”. Delegates will elaborate on the problem of cohesive development of the European countries through cooperation and mutual solidarity while emphasising the European Union’s values – liberty, equality and democracy.
