Brno and the Theme
Brno
Brno, the capital of the South Moravian Region in the southeast of the Czech Republic, is the country’s second-largest city. It combines historical architecture with modern urban development, featuring landmarks such as Špilberk Castle, the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul and the functionalist Villa Tugendhat. Brno is home to several well-known universities, including Masaryk University and Brno University of Technology, making it an important center of education, research and innovation. The city has a lively cultural scene with theaters, galleries, festivals and a growing gastronomic culture. Its location near the Moravian Karst also offers opportunities for outdoor activities and recreation.
Theme
“Shaping Strength through Unity” is a motto that emphasises the importance of cooperation in the challenging and hectic times that Europe is currently facing. Our aim is to create an atmosphere built on trust, creativity, and collaboration. A place where individuals come together to shape something meaningful, lasting, and greater than themselves.
As we come together in Brno, we embrace not only our differences, but also our shared interests and goals. We believe that value and accomplishments stem from collaboration, empathy, and action.
Brno provides the perfect place for this session, with its deep historical roots and spirit of modern creativity. It symbolises the power of connection – between past and future, between culture and innovation, between thought and action. It inspires us to think boldly and work together.
