Session Preparation

Weeks before the Session

The weeks before we all meet at the conference are the base for being prepared and not having to stress things in the last moment. These are some basic things to take care of before the session:

  • Have a healthy sleep schedule – having at least 8 hours of sleep helps a lot with concentration, try and fix your sleep schedule at least a week before the session.
  • Manage your health – eat well and keep hydrated, so you don’t catch any unnecessary illness.
  • Meet all the deadlines – do all the things that the organisers asked you to do in the set deadline. If you are unable to do so, inform the organisers beforehand.
  • Take care of all the travel arrangements – book your tickets, you will be one of the 100 people going to Karlovy Vary, buying tickets guarantees the best price and comfort.
  • Sort out all your schoolwork – make sure you have your grades sorted and any projects completed.
  • Inform the teachers – if you are coming as an individual delegate, make sure to fill in your teachers on your absence.

If you do all of these, you will be on the best path to having a smooth and stress-free RSC at Karlovy Vary 2025.

Days before the Session

The week leading up to RSC Karlovy Vary is arguably the most important component to your session prep. Here is the list:

  • Send the filled-out Code of Conduct to the Organisers – this speeds up your check-in and assures your participation in the session.
  • Engage with your Committee – by this time, your Chairperson should have already reached out to you. Join the WhatsApp group and introduce yourself.
  • Read the Topic Overview – if you haven’t done so yet, do so now! Here you will find the basics you need to know about your topic, helping you contribute effectively to your Committee.
  • Plan your Eurovillage meal – coordinate with your Delegation on who is making what, to avoid cooking the same dishes. Make sure you have all the necessary ingredients.
  • Check your calendar – make sure you have no schoolwork or other stuff to take care of.
  • Plan your journey – so you can get to your means of travel on time and without any problems.
  • Start packing – pack all the necessary medication and other important stuff, that you will need.

After getting the entirety of the aforementioned points done, you will be perfectly prepared for your work and time during the session.

One Day before the Session

The day before is almost your last chance to get everything sorted and prepared for the session. These are the key things to do:

  • Go through the Packing List – the Organising Team has put together a list of all the things needed for the session.
  • Pack any extra things – if you have some personal amenities you need, don’t forget to bring them with you.
  • Charge your devices – make sure that all your electronic devices are charged up and ready to use.
  • Prepare for Eurovillage – the day before the session is usually the best time to cook your Eurovillage food.
  • Check the weather – pack your clothes according to the weather.
  • Sleep well – having a good night’s sleep before the travel, helps you avoid any unnecessary mistakes during your journey to Karlovy Vary.

With everything taken care of and packed, the only thing to do is look forward to the RSC Karlovy Vary 2025.

The Morning of the Session

It is finally here, the actual session, this is the time to go over everything, making sure that all of the important things are sorted and stuff packed. Here is what you should double-check:

  • Bring your Code of Conduct – if you haven’t sent the Code of Conduct to the Organisers via email, make sure to bring it with you to the session.
  • Make sure you have everything ready – go through the Packing List one more time and check that you have all the things you will need.
  • Bring your Eurovillage meal – don’t forget to take your Eurovillage meal with you, so you don´t waste your hard work.
  • Double-check your travel arrangements – make sure that there are no complications on your travel route.
  • Don’t lose anything along the way – count your luggage and always check that you have everything before getting of the bus/train/plane…

After all this preparation, you are all set and sorted. We wish you safe travels. Enjoy the RSC Karlovy Vary 2025!
