...from Prague

We recommend travelling with a RegioJet bus or with Flixbus from Praha – Na Knížecí station. The ride takes around an hour and a half and costs around 70 CZK (3 EUR) for students (you must have an ISIC student card) or 140 CZK (6 EUR) for adults.

The bus stops at Písek – autobusové nádraží station in Písek.

Getting around Prague

To get around Prague we highly recommend using public transport, which is known for its accuracy and reliability.

From Václav Havel airport Prague to Na Knížecí

To get from the airport to the Na Knížecí station, use the trolleybus number 59 to the Nádraží Veleslavín metro station (line A). Take the metro to the Můstek station, there change to the B line (green) and go three stops (in the direction of Zličín) to the Anděl station. The ride should take less than 50 minutes.

Or you can use bus number 191 that is a direct line to Na Knížecí station (last stop). The ride also takes around 50 minutes.

From Prague Main Station to Na Knížecí

To get from the main station to the Na Knížecí station, use the tram number 9 from Hlavní nádraží (Bolzanova street) in the direction of Sídliště Řepy and get off at the Anděl station. The ride should take around 15 minutes.  From the tram stop go back to the Nádražní street, turn right and walk about 400 meters to reach the Na Knížecí bus staton.

Public Transport in Prague

Public transport in Prague is well known for its accuracy and reliability. Navigating the city is straightforward. To search connections, you can use Google Maps, IDOS.cz, or the PID Lítačka app. You can also buy tickets in PID Lítačka very easily.

Tickets in Prague

Ticket options include a 30 min ticket for 39 CZK (1,6 EUR) and a 90 min ticket for 49 CZK (2 EUR).

You can buy your ticket in the PID Lítačka app or in small orange machines located inside buses and trams (these are card only and can be missing in older models). These tickets do not need to be validated and are valid from the moment of purchase.

Additionally, you can buy your tickets in big yellow vending machines (as shown above), which are in every metro station and on most of the tram stations. Here you can use both cash (CZK) or card. These tickets need to be validated!

You can find more information and instructions about tickets and public transport here.
