Safety policies at the session
If you feel or experience any behaviour in the environment of the session as disrespectful, inappropriate, or unkind and you notice that as a harm being done to you, or anyone else, you can feel free to contact the Event Safe Person, or National Safe Person via phone, email, or Slack.
For the cases of potential harm being caused, or any kind of rights depending on the well-being of the underaged participants is being violated, at the session there is a Child Protection Officer Jakub Kotík (CZ) in possession of the right to handle the legal consequences of the behaviour that has caused the previously mentioned. Alcohol policy
Every participant of the session under the age of 18 is strictly prohibited from consuming, buying, or keeping alcohol by the law of the Czech Republic. All participants over 18 years old are allowed to consume beverages including alcohol up to 15% alcohol volume.
Smoking policy
Every participant under of the session under the age of 18 is not allowed to smoke according to the law of the Czech Republic. For participants of age, smoking is allowed only outdoors, outside the venues. Also bear in mind the restrictions for smoking in effect in the Czech Republic, such as certain distance from official buildings and public transport stops.

My role as Event Safe Person is to ensure your safety and well-being throughout the upcoming days. If you experience any behaviour that you find inappropriate, or disrespectful, actions which make you or others uncomfortable, if you have any concerns, or just need someone to talk to, please feel free to approach me. I’m here to listen, support, and guide you through any situation.
You’ll find my contact details in the Welcome Booklet and on the back of your badge, so don’t hesitate to reach out, or come up to me at any point of the event.

Safe Persons
To ensure that the 26th National Selection Conference of EYP CZ Ostrava 2024 is a safe, respectful and friendly environment for all the participants, an Event Safe Person will be available during and even before the Session. Anka Stieberová will fulfil this role joined by the National Safe Person, Hana Vicherková.
You can contact an Event Safe Person in case of personal or work conflict or if you experience any behaviour that you find inappropriate, disrespectful or uncomfortable. They provide a safe discreet space to either resolve conflict between two persons or to be there for an individual. Event Safe Person will also always help you only in the capacity in which you want.
