European Youth Parliament conferences are more than just an opportunity to represent your school. They are also about personal development, intercultural dialogue and cooperation. <\/span>As a teacher, your role is vital in supporting, motivating, and guiding your students <\/b>before and during the Conference, <\/span>ensuring they feel confident and comfortable <\/b>throughout the session, and creating a safe space for them to share their experiences with you.<\/span><\/p>

If, unfortunately, we have to deal with the Delegates breaking the Code of Conduct, we rely on <\/span>you being our primary contact to resolve the situation appropriately<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>

Apart from the conference programme aimed mostly at the Delegates, there will be an <\/span>accompanying programme for the teachers<\/b> that will allow you to <\/span>see the best of our conference, explore the amazing city of P\u00edsek<\/b> and<\/span> share your experiences with other teachers <\/b>attending the conference.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Motivation for the students<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The European Youth Parliament is a fun and creative way to <\/span>educate and interest the youth in politics<\/b>, while helping students develop important skills that will be beneficial in the future. Among many indescribable aspects of <\/span>personal development<\/b>, attending conferences deepens their <\/span>academic knowledge<\/b> and general<\/span> English language skills<\/b>. They help students learn how to <\/span>participate in open and constructive discussions.<\/b><\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

EYP is a safe space<\/b> where everyone can feel welcome and engage themselves in any way they see fit. It opens an<\/span> intercultural dialogue<\/b> where the youth can share their experiences and <\/span>grow into young adults with many new friends, skills, and memories<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Our aim is to create an open and welcoming space<\/b> for the students to feel comfortable and supported during the conference. However, <\/span>we deeply appreciate any form of motivation from you<\/b>, someone Delegates already know and trust.<\/span><\/p>

Communication before the conference<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

There will be a person directly responsible for all of the communication between you and EYP. We will keep you informed about all the key aspects of the conference. Please <\/span>check your email regularly <\/b>to ensure you have all the necessary information.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Preparation for committee work<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Delegates will be split into <\/span>seven committees<\/b>, each focusing on a different topic. Before the session, they will receive an <\/span>Academic Preparation Kit<\/b>, in which they will find a <\/span>Topic Overview<\/b> \u2014 a document summarising their topic. The best way to prepare for Committee Work is by <\/span>reading the Topic Overviews and finding their own resources.<\/b> It might be helpful to go through their topic with them during an English lesson.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Being recognised and appreciated for all the effort and work one puts into a project is one of the best rewards, which is precisely why <\/span>your support means so much to the students<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>

We truly appreciate that both you and the students dedicated so much of your free time to be a part of this conference. The conference may be quite overwhelming for the students, and having there someone \u2018from the outside world\u2019<\/span> who they can talk<\/b> to and <\/span>who can give them words of encouragement is invaluable.<\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Dress code<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

While Delegates often prepare for Committee Work, they may underestimate the importance of the Dress Code. <\/span>We want everyone attending the Conference to feel as comfortable as possible<\/b>, however, there are parts of the Conference where we gently ask to <\/span>follow the Dress Code<\/b>. <\/span>During the Opening and Closing Ceremonies<\/b>, guests and speakers will be present, and we would appreciate it if<\/span> everyone were to dress in a presentable way<\/b>.
