Weeks before the session<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The weeks leading up to the session are key for getting ready. Laying the right groundwork will make your experience much smoother. Here are some things you should take care of before heading to NSC Liberec:<\/p>

  • Get enough sleep<\/strong> \u2013 Try to get at least 8 hours of sleep each night for a week before the session. You’ll enjoy everything a lot more if you’re well-rested.<\/li>
  • Stay injury-free<\/strong> \u2013 There\u2019ll be plenty of walking, dancing, and activities, so do your best to avoid any injuries beforehand.<\/li>
  • Take care of your health<\/strong> \u2013 Boost your immune system by staying active, spending time outside, and eating well. Dress warmly, drink enough water, and manage stress to keep yourself feeling good.<\/li>
  • Book your tickets early<\/strong> \u2013 You\u2019re one of a hundred Delegates heading to Liberec, plus plenty of other travellers. Buying your tickets in advance ensures you get your preferred transport option.<\/li>
  • Meet the Organisers’ deadlines<\/strong> \u2013 Don\u2019t forget to fill out the Travel Form and send in your Jury photos on time.<\/li>
  • Manage your school responsibilities <\/strong>\u2013 If you have an exam during the session, talk to your teacher ahead of time. They\u2019ll be more likely to help you find a solution. If needed, we can provide an absence letter to support your request.<\/li><\/ul>

    The week of the session is the perfect time to make sure you’re all set for the activities. Here are the key things to do:<\/p>

    • Introduce yourself to your Committee<\/strong> \u2013 Your Chairperson has probably already reached out, asking for a short introduction. Send it over and take a moment to read messages from your fellow Delegates.<\/li>
    • Read the Topic Overview<\/strong> \u2013 If you haven\u2019t yet, now\u2019s the time! It\u2019ll help you follow discussions in your committee and contribute effectively.<\/li>
    • Do some extra research<\/strong> \u2013 The Academic Preparation Kit covers the basics, but looking up more information will help you bring valuable insights to the discussions.<\/li>
    • Skim through the rest of the Academic Prep Kit<\/strong> \u2013 Having a general idea of other Committees’ topics will help you stay engaged during the General Assembly and contribute meaningfully.<\/li>
    • Send your signed Code of Conduct to the Organisers<\/strong> \u2013 This makes check-in quicker and gives you one less thing to worry about while packing.<\/li>
    • Catch up on schoolwork<\/strong> \u2013 Check for any upcoming deadlines so you don\u2019t end up writing an essay when you should be enjoying the session.<\/li>
    • Start packing<\/strong> \u2013 Figure out what you need to bring, make sure your clothes are clean, and double-check you haven\u2019t misplaced anything important.<\/li>
    • Plan your Eurovillage meal<\/strong> \u2013 Decide what you want to make, get the ingredients, and coordinate with your delegation to avoid duplicates.<\/li><\/ul>

      • Check the Packing List<\/strong> \u2013 The Organising Team has put together a list of everything you\u2019ll need, so go through it to make sure you haven\u2019t forgotten anything.<\/li>
      • Pack any extras<\/strong> \u2013 The list covers the essentials, but if you need personal items like a pillow or a blow-dryer, don\u2019t forget to add them.<\/li>
      • Don\u2019t overpack<\/strong> \u2013 Bring only the items you really need and make sure your bags are easy to carry.<\/li>
      • Charge your devices<\/strong> \u2013 Bring your chargers, but also fully charge your phone, laptop, or anything else you\u2019ll be using.<\/li>
      • Sort out school stuff<\/strong> \u2013 Ask a couple of classmates to fill you in on anything you\u2019ll miss and share their notes.<\/li>
      • Prepare your Eurovillage food<\/strong> \u2013 If your meal needs cooking, the night before is usually the best time to get it ready.<\/li><\/ul>

        It\u2019s finally here! All your prep has led up to this. Here\u2019s how to make sure your morning sets you up for a great session:<\/p>

        • Bring your Code of Conduct<\/strong> \u2013 If you haven\u2019t sent an electronic copy, don\u2019t forget to bring it with you. You won\u2019t be able to take part without it.<\/li>
        • Go through the Packing List one last time<\/strong> \u2013 Make sure you\u2019ve got everything.<\/li>
        • Pack any personal essentials<\/strong> \u2013 This includes medication or anything else you personally need.<\/li>
        • Do not forget your Eurovillage meal<\/strong> \u2013 It would be a shame to leave it behind after all that effort!<\/li>
        • Count your luggage<\/strong> \u2013 Keep track of how many things you\u2019re bringing so you don\u2019t lose anything while traveling.<\/li><\/ul>
