While these phrases might help you, most young people speak English well enough for you to communicate. 

  • Documents (ID card/ Passport, Visa) 
  • Travel insurance if you are travelling from abroad 
  • Signed Code of Conduct 
  • Clothes in agreement with the Dress Code above (also bring some warmer/outdoor clothes as some parts of the Teambuilding might be done outside) 
  • A reusable mug or 50 CZK as a deposit for a cup

Currency

  • 1 EUR = 25.29 CZK 
  • 1CZK = 0.040 EUR 

 In the Czech Republic, most businesses accept payment by card. Please take that into account if you are considering exchanging a larger sum of Czech currency, as it might not be necessary. 

Common items’ prices: 

  • Coca-Cola (bottle): 30 CZK = 1.184 EUR 
  • Red Bull (250 ml): 40 CZK = 1.578 EUR  
  • Meal in a restaurant: 200 – 300 CZK = 8 – 12 EUR 
  • Water bottle (750 ml): 15 CZK = 0.6 EUR

Currency Exchange 

If you need to exchange money, do so at an exchange office and make sure you are getting the right exchange rate, as some places might want to rip you off. This is common, especially in Prague. Here are some recommended exchange offices with good reviews:

Alternatively, you can withdraw Czech crowns directly from trusted ATMs if your bank allows for it or if you use services like Revolut. When withdrawing from ATMs, be sure to use one operated by a bank and not part of the Euronet network. 

  • Thanks to EU regulations, if you have a SIM registered anywhere within the EU, calling should cost the same as if you were in your home country. 
  • Drinking and smoking in the Czech Republic is strictly prohibited by law as well as by the Code of Conduct to anyone under 18 years old
