The vast majority of participants are delegates. All delegates are allocated to internationally-mixed committees, which they choose according to the committee topic. Each committee is assigned a topic – a current European or global issue connected to the theme Seeking the Heart of Europe. Their task is to come up with solutions to the issue while respecting teamwork and different opinions of other participants. The outcome of their work is a resolution, which is further presented to other committees during the last two days of the session at the General Assembly, where all committees gather in order to discuss one another’s resolution (see Event Elements).

Apart from personal skills development and the opportunity to debate with people of the same age, it is also a great way to make new connections and create friendships across the Europe.

Before the 85th International Session of EYP – Brno 2017, delegates are selected by the National Committees and sent as delegations representing their respective country. If you wish to participate but you have no former experience with EYP, go to the page Get Involved and you will find ways to get in touch with the network.

The Schwarzkopf Foundation is the international umbrella organisation of the European Youth Parliament. EYP Czech Republic is a National Committee in the EYP network.
