About the Event

What is EYP?

European Youth Parliament (EYP) is a youth organisation that brings 34,500 young people per year together at almost 600 different events. At the so-called sessions, events that can be up to 12 days long, participants have a chance to develop their argumentation and communication skills, teamwork, and English by discussing current European issues. The sessions are not only filled with discussions, but also games during Teambuilding, endless possibilities to meet European and local decision-makers, and chances to discover foreign cultures.

What is an International Session?

Three times per year, up to 300 participants gather at International Sessions, 12-day-long flagship events of the network that involve participants from all the countries involved in EYP. One of these events will also take place in Brno, Czech Republic under the theme Seeking the Heart of Europe from 19th to 30th July 2017.

The participants will be given a chance to discuss various European issues and propose their own solutions whilst presenting and defending their  points of view. They will also have the opportunity to explore the city of Brno and the Region of South Moravia through the cultural programme.

Our aim is to organise an unforgettable event for all participants, as well as present the Czech Republic and Brno to them. The city certainly has a lot to offer, being well-known as a city of students with many public and private universities.

The Schwarzkopf Foundation is the international umbrella organisation of the European Youth Parliament. EYP Czech Republic is a National Committee in the EYP network.
